It's even sweatier than last November in Los Angeles, and yet the holiday season persists in its fight to be relevant. Naturally, we built a snow tubing park in the middle of DTLA, because why not? If ice isn't your thing, Golden Road Brewing is throwing a michelada beach party ( ... in Atwater), there’ll be plenty of clean lines at the LA Auto Show, and you can spend a night with Netflix’s Lady Dynamite. Or, why not get to know Lady LA more intimately by walking 16 miles from city to beach down Pico Blvd? Forgot your comfy shoes? Sway to the tunes of traditional mariachi music in Boyle Heights or celebrate LA history at a brand new literary salon at one of our coolest bars. Meanwhile, show off your ‘stache and sip a stout for men’s health or witness one of the greatest ballet dancers of our time. It’s all happening, Los Angeles!

Now where’d you stash those snow gloves?

When you’re sitting in traffic do you ever consider abandoning the damn car in the middle of the road and walking across LA? Here’s your chance to walk the epic east-west, 16-mile divide from DTLA to Santa Monica. This year, the chosen path is Pico Blvd, which means you can make like Pulitzer Prize-winning LA Times food critic Jonathan Gold and
eat your way down the street. Ultimately, you can make your journey as fast or slow as you please and there’s even a party awaiting you at the other end. Catch the metro back home and you’ve lived a beautifully ‘green’ day and burned oodles of calories.
