Say Cheese!
Impossible Pop-Up Shop’s launch party will be packed with instant cameras and film, and will be the only place on the West Coast to snag the I-1, Impossible’s new instant camera that will help preserve analog photography in the digital age. Shutterbugs are clearly the target demo, but all are welcome for craft beer, art and 8 x 10 portraits from a photo booth.
Deets: Austere DTLA; 7-10 p.m., Free
Friday, May 13
Art Double Down
Two of the best galleries that also happen to host cool parties have exhibitions opening on Friday. To boot, the galleries are only a block away from each other. M+B presents Nathaniel Mary Quinn's first solo exhibition at the gallery with collage-style portraits reflecting the artist’s Chicago South Side roots. Elliott Hundley, an LA artist, will be showcasing billboard collages and ongoing visual narrative, loosely based on Antonin Artaud’s play There Is No More Firmament and other Artaud works, at Regen Projects.
Deets: M+B Gallery and Regen Projects; 6-8 p.m; Free
Friday – Sunday, May 13 - 15
#RoséAllDay
Doesn’t sitting poolside sipping 60 different types of rosé wine sound like the dreamiest weekend plan of all? This #Roséallday fantasy can become a reality as La Nuit en Rosé returns to Los Angeles for the second year at Skybar. Highlights of the weekend fest include a Friday night 4-course rosé wine-paired dinner, a Saturday rosé sunset soirée and a Sunday rosé pool party. Each event will include unlimited access to more than 60 Rosé wines and Rosé Champagne, a live DJ, a VIP Lounge and a relaxing spa hosted by Bermuda Tourism.

Dance-Off to 80s Pop Kings
Paul Dave, the DJ legend behind the 13-years strong "Prince vs. Michael Jackson" mashup parties, will be giving the ultimate tribute to the two kings of 80s pop. Expect dancing, a face-off between guests repping The Purple One and The King of Pop, and of course, the novelty of ordering a drink from an Airstream.
Deets: Resident DTLA; 9 p.m.; Tickets are already sold out. But show up real early to try your luck—50 more tickets ($10 pp) will be released at the door.
Pinups & Pole Dancing
This Saturday, head to Long Beach for Tonya Kay’s Pinup Pole Show featuring classic cars, pinup girls, retro burlesque and pole champs. To nab a snazzy prize, wear your best vintage garb.
