New York, United States
Rockaway Beach is a neighborhood on the Rockaway Peninsula in the New York City borough of Queens. It is located on the South Shore of Long Island.
“Hit the waves in New York,” isn’t your average surf vid, brah. It’s black and white and set to a classic Bob Dylan track, so you know, like being in the East Village in the 60s but with more waves. The video was filmed by Dikayl Rimmasch in Quogue, Long Island—who knew there was surfing so close to the dense urban metropolis of New York City? Quogue isn't the only Long Island surf spot—just hop on the LIRR and head to Rockaway Beach (the Rockaways), Long Beach or Montauk.
Surfing in NYC? Yeah it's possible, add the Rockaways to your profile.
