The town is also known for its nightlife, arts scene, shopping and festivals.

Great Escapes: Burning the Clocks - Brighton

December 21 marks the winter solstice for the Northern Hemisphere, AKA the shortest and darkest day of the year. In order to combat the gloom, Brighton, England, celebrates with a very unique festival of lights which culminates in a giant bonfire. Lucky for us, filmmaker Ben Cox of Gnarled Apple Productions got a chance to witness this community's way of saying goodbye to the past year.
