UCLA Celebration of Iranian Cinema
UCLA is partnering up with Farhang Foundation to showcase the films from Iran to connect people of cultural and political differences. The film celebration begins May 6 with the Los Angeles premiere of Life and a Day, winner of eight awards at the 2016 Fajr Festival in Tehran, and will commence until May 19. Each night showcases a different film that reflects the complex realities of contemporary Iran via storytelling of universal experiences that will evoke emotion and unite the viewers as human beings.
