Be a good human, roll down to Pasadena and roll up hundreds of burritos with Burrito Project—a nonprofit that’s been gathering like-minded do-gooders to feed the homeless in LA since 2009. Burrito Project folds quesadillas and wraps burritos for the city’s disenfranchised as well as hosts charity fundraisers like poker nights and more. Too short notice? The Burrito Project heats up tortillas every third Thursday of the month.

SoFar’s pop-up live music events are kind of like playing spin the bottle in your dreams, where all of the potential candidates are tens. Hosted in unorthodox locations (living rooms, warehouses, etc) throughout LA, almost every night of the week SoFar hosts a secret music show. You won’t know the artist until you get there. The only catch? Tickets are based on a lottery system, a pay-what-you-will deal or guarantee a seat by paying $20 in advance.

Ditch work and throw on your seersucker suits and Derby hats for a swanky summer soiree by Dapper Day. From noon to five in the afternoon, there are docent-led tours of LACMA’s Reigning Men: Fashion in Menswear exhibit and in the evening, jig out your best swing dance moves to live jazz tunes.

With the Olympics just around the corner, we can hardly wait for our quadrennial interest in trackstars to pick up where it left off. Pre-game the Olympics this weekend as a slew of American Olympiads, including Kerri Walsh and Misty May (SoCal natives and beach volleyball legends) will be hanging out at the Team USA Road to Rio tour event. Plus, there will be lots of live music by artists Rachel Platten, the Carlos and Salvador Santana Band and more. If more extreme athletes are your speed, check out the skater-centric Dew Tour in Long Beach this weekend from July 22 - 24.

This year’s Hollywood Forever tribute marks the 40th anniversary of The Ramones. Hosted by Sex Pistols’ Steve Jones, get cozy among the tombstones for a screening of Rock 'n Roll High School. Plus, the cast of the movie will be there— reuniting for the first time in 30 years. Hey ho let’s go!
