MUJI Poster Exhibition Reception Party
From August 3 through September 12, 2017, MUJI's Hollywood location is exhibiting a collection of rarely seen posters by Ikko Tanaka and Kenya Hara. Ikko Tanaka, art director and original founder of MUJI, established MUJI's core values and aesthetic by blending a "no brand" approach using quality goods before he passed away in 2002. Kenya Hara took over as art director and continues to maintain the company’s philosophy of of modern design with Japanese tradition. Tomorrow, the Hollywood store will have 12 archival posters on public display by both designers. Fun fact: MUJI started in 1980 and now has over 400 stores across the globe.

The '1988' Series: Technicolor Drip - Performance & Screening
Heidi Duckler Dance Theater returns for the third act in the 1988 series, Technicolor Drip. Watch the dancers hang and wiggle in the windows of Platform’s parking garage where Technicolor Drop by artist Jen Stark is loud and proud. The act is 12 minutes and runs on a loop between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. If you're still around the area at 8 p.m., a screening of the performance followed by a Q&A with Heidi Duckler, Jen Stark and Marla Koosed will take place at Helms Bakery District Courtyard. Note: the performance and screenings are free and open the public, but reservations are required!

A Date in 2025 - Los Angeles Shorts - World Premiere Screening!
Head to Laemmle NoHo 7 on Sunday for the world premiere screening of short film, A Date in 2025. The film follows Daniel through his struggles dating in the real world outside of virtual reality. The longer he waits to spend time with another human being, the higher his risk of committing suicide. A ticket grants you access to a series of seven short films, each of which is 4 to 18 minutes long.
